Burning Permit Information
Call the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office at (800) 433-5245 and Sauk Rapids FD at 320-251-4747 Before Burning
- Check the DNR website.
- Any other MN DNR Fire Warden or online at https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/forestry/fire/questions.html
- The permit does not need to be issued from Haven Township.
Burning Permits
Burning permits are required for any open burning in Haven Township. Call one of the Fire Wardens to get one, they are free of charge. Burning without a permit could cost a minimum of $325.00.
Haven Township is charged by Sauk Rapids Fire Dept. for each call. Board policy is to pass this cost on to the property owner.
If your fire gets out of control and you don't have a permit, the bill will come to the owner of the property.
No Garbage or Trash Burning is allowed by County Zoning and DNR Rules.
